Why we built RATE.
We are a small team that got tired of guessing. Everyone has held up a photo and wondered how it really comes across. Friends are kind. Strangers stay quiet. So we built a place where you can simply ask, and get a genuine answer from people with nothing to gain.
RATE is not a leaderboard and it is not about chasing a perfect 10. It is honest feedback on the photos and looks you choose to share, so you can pick the picture you feel best about. You decide what to post, you control who sees it, and you can step away at any time.

Is it really anonymous?
Yes. The people rating your photo never see your name, and you never see who rated you. That separation is the whole point. It keeps feedback genuine instead of just polite.
Can I rate someone who has not chosen to take part?
No, and that is the foundation of RATE. You only ever see and rate photos that people uploaded themselves to ask for feedback. There is no way to rate, score, or rank anyone who has not chosen to take part. Everything on RATE is opt-in.
How is my score calculated?
Your score is a balanced average of every rating a photo receives. We set aside the highest and lowest outliers so a few extreme ratings cannot move your number. The more people weigh in, the more reliable it gets.
Who can see my photos?
Only the RATE community, and only after each photo passes review. Your photos are never sold, never posted to the open web, and you can delete any post, or your whole account, at any time.
How does RATE keep things respectful?
When someone rates a photo they give a score and can add constructive tags like lighting or angle. There is no comment box for raters, so there is no channel for unkind words. Every photo is reviewed before it appears, you can report or block anyone, and accounts that break our community guidelines are removed.
Is RATE free?
Yes. Sharing photos, getting feedback, and seeing your score are free. An optional upgrade unlocks deeper insights and extra matching features, but honest feedback never costs a thing.
